In the Community: back to school in ohio august 2022

CCMI is delighted to share the 2nd Annual Back to School Giveaway in Toledo, OH helped meet the needs of scores of area school children once again.

The outreach was held Saturday, August 20th at Grace Temple, The Church of Grace and spearheaded by CCMI Board Member Bishop Chester Trail, the pastor, and organized by Victoria Simms, its director of operations.

Dozens of families were able to pack book bags with notebooks, pens, glue sticks, folders, treats and much more.

We thank our generous donor James Mann of Mann Insurance Group and the members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Zeta Xi Zeta Chapter for volunteering their time in service to the community.

We are delighted to share the success of the backpack and school supplies outreach on Wednesday in Toledo, OH. Children from kindergarten to high school were given backpacks filled with supplies and other donated items at Grace Temple, The Church of Grace.  The outreach was spearheaded by CCMI Board Members Bishop Chester Trail, the pastor of Grace Temple, and Donna Moore-James. There were also hotdogs and other treats on hand as families lined up for the much need school supplies.  We thank Victoria Simms, the Director of Operations at Grace Temple for her tireless efforts in making the outreach a success.We also thank our donors James Mann of Mann Insurance Group and Calvin Powell of Powell's Beauty and Barber Supplies. Thank you Zeta Xi Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta, Sorority, Inc. for packing 94 backpacks with school supplies. This outreach would not have been a success without the help of all involved -- we thank you!   

Finally, this was an especially heartwarming effort because Toledo is our hometown.  We thank the Lord for allowing us to give back and look forward to what He will allow us to do in the future.
