Chairman & CEO
Charles was appointed pastor of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara, CA in 1999 and served six years before accepting his call to Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara, CA. After serving a total of fourteen years in Santa Barbara, he was appointed to pastor the CME church in Santa Ana, CA where he served for four years.
Charles has been bi-vocational throughout his ministry and recently retired from the American Honda Motor Co. headquarters in Torrance, CA after 33 years.
He began leading missions to Zimbabwe and South Africa in 1993. His advocacy for improving education in the region led to the donation of computers and generators by American Honda Motor Company and a partnership with South African Airlines to move cargo from JFK to Johannesburg. He and his team established Soweto’s first high school computer lab in August of 1995 along with an after school enrichment program in an Alexandria Township -- the squatter camp where students were tutored in math and science. Lights were powered by donated Honda generators. The idea of working on a computer was unthinkable for a child living in a shack. However Charles thought if he could expose them to the technology it would open their minds to the possibilities and prick their consciences to their capabilities. “I learned that abject poverty is no match for the agility of a child whose mind has been awakened and has tasted its possibilities.” Delivering resources to schools, orphanages and shelters. Going to the spot and actually touching those little lives with smiles and warm embraces, seeing the light go on in a child’s head when they have tasted its possibilities, how fast they run when fitted with the right sized shoe, how well they sleep when introduced to a nutritionally balanced diet are some of the things that continue to drive Charles as he leads this organization on its global mission to touch the lives of underserved children and seniors worldwide. He and Michelle have three children, a daughter-in-law and two delightful granddaughters.
Treasurer, SVP & CFO
As a child Michelle told her family she would someday go to Africa. Little did she know that the Lord would also open doors in ways she couldn't have imagined with a 30 year career as a television news reporter and anchor. The trips to Africa did come -- and blessings continue with one of the greatest adventures of her life as the wife of her high school sweetheart, (both from Toledo, OH), in the service of our Lord and Savior.
Now, having been to South Africa over a half dozen times, along with other countries, including the Dominican Republic, Egypt and Cuba, the retired journalist and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., feels humbled to be able to serve the Lord in this way.
Secretary, AVP UADA Curriculum
Donna, a retired educator, has a double Masters in Education -- one specializing in Curriculum and Instruction and is a licensed reading instructor for grades
K-12 -- and one in administration and supervision -- with an assistant superintendent license. These credentials and experience have allowed her to serve in administration in the Toledo public school system and give back in other ways.
An example of her passion for elementary education is seen in her service as a docent at the University of Findlay's Mazza Museum, which has the world's first and largest collection of original art from children's picture books. Donna is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. with the distinction of being one of the founding members of its chapter at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH.
We are excited to have her experience in the development of the UADA curriculum.

Corey is a retired electronic technician with the United States Postal Service, has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and loves the Ohio State Buckeyes! He and wife Lorena recently fulfilled a lifelong dream, which was to go on a foreign mission trip. Whether it was assembling shelves to improve organization in the orphanage's garage or installing a new washer, Corey's vast skill set was invaluable in the Dominican Republic.
It was deeply moving to watch Lorena and Corey's connection with challenged adults and orphaned teenage girls in Cairo, Egypt as the team helped the adult daycare center strive to become profitable by selling meals. CCMI donated a refrigerator. We set up a mini computer lab at the orphanage and provided shade in a patio area so the teens can enjoy sitting outside in privacy.

Lorena is also fluent in Spanish!
